Looks as if the atmosphere (
Clueless at
WNYC) wasn't productive of discussion:
I will admit that Brian Lehrer exuded a certain
smugness mixed with cluelessness that rubbed me the wrong way, and
that I let it bug me.
Having lived in northern New Jersey pretty much all my life, and
having listened to Lehrer many times, but not for a few years, I'm
surprised: I thought of him as liberal, of course, but fair, and as
close to always as you can get, one who's done his homework and is
willing to let the guest express his view, argue for it, and
discuss it without biases and feelings intruding.
WNYC has the

site. I'll listen to them later today.
